Kent County Council - Temporary Road Closure - East Street, Hunton - 5th September 2026

As part of the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the highway network, Kent County Council will be working to improve the road surface of East Street, Hunton between the junctions of West Street and The River Beult Bridge.

These road surface improvement works are programmed to start on the 05/09/2026 and should take 3 days to complete. These activities will be undertaken during a working window between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

During these essential works it will be necessary to close the road completely so the works can be carried out safely for both the workforce and road users.  The diversion route will be via Hunton Road, Green Lane, B2162 Collier Street, Benover Road, Yalding High Street, Vicarage Road and West Street.
