Kent County Council - Temporary Road Closures - East Street & Hunton Road, Hunton - 19th October 2026

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close parts of East Street & Hunton Road, Hunton, from 19th October 2026 with estimated completion by 19th October 2026.

East Street will be closed from the junction with George Street to the junction with Hunton Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Hunton Road will be closed from the junction with East Street to the junction with Dairy Lane, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via East Street, Hunton Hill, Upper Hunton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, Underlyn Lane, Green Lane, Hunton Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
